Welcome Back to First Colleyville Kids!

In the last several weeks, we have monitored guidelines and best practices for gathering in a safe way. After a significant amount of prayer and preparation, we’re excited to open KIDS programming on campus at First Colleyville! 

Our step by step process to being together again calls for limited capacity in each room as well as enhanced disinfection protocols. We are asking families to complete a weekly registration for their children to attend First Colleyville Kids for both Sunday and Wednesday Night Experiences.

What to Expect:

Like our redesigned weekend services, we’re taking additional steps to keep our KIDS environments safe and fun for your family.
  • We’ve increased cleaning protocols in our KIDS spaces during and between services.
  • Additional hand-sanitizing stations will be available in KIDS lobby and hallway area.
  • All toys and hard surfaces will be sanitized during and after every service.
  • We’ve implemented a weekly reservation system for KIDS programming, so that we can know how many kids to expect each week as we prepare space, rooms, volunteers and safety protocols.
Each week, RSVP your child(ren) for the upcoming Kids Experiences (Sunday and Wednesday). 
  • We are following CDC Guidelines to setup rooms that are not overcrowded and provide space for social distancing.
  • When you RSVP for your child(ren), you are helping us make sure we have enough open rooms and volunteers to serve in those rooms.
  • We will reserve a small amount of space for walk-in registration, but to reserve your spot please register early. 
  • If your plans change during the week and you need to cancel your reservation, please email kids@firstcolleyville.com so we may open up a spot for another family. 
When you arrive to campus, be ready for a redesigned check-in process to help support a safe environment.
  • Every staff member, volunteer, and child in KIDS will have their temperature taken before checking in to KIDS programming. We aren’t able to check in anyone with a temperature of 100.4 or higher.
  • All staff and volunteers will be wearing masks. We have masks available at our check in desks for those that need one.  Masks are not required, but are highly recommended for Elementary Kids (1st grade – 5th grade).
  • We will have volunteers available to help your family at the check-in desks and kiosks.
  • You will receive your family’s check in tags and place on your children’s back. This tag will designate the drop off room for each child. Please hold on to your security pick up numbers, we will visually match the tags upon pick up. 
  • We encourage you to only send one parent into KIDS for drop-off and pick-up to help limit traffic in the hallways.
  • Be sure to use hand sanitizer or wash your hands before entering a KIDS classroom. Encourage your child to do the same.
  • You’ll see lots of big waves, so let’s avoid hugs, high-fives, and handshakes.
We’ll all need to work together to help keep KIDS safe, so please stay home and participate online if your child:
  • Has had a fever in the past 72 hours.
  • Shows any symptoms of COVID-19.
  • Has been around anyone who has tested positive for COVID-19.

When is registration available?

Registration for Sunday Morning Experience is available Monday through Friday. Registration for Wednesday Night Experience is available Thursday – Tuesday.

 

What if I need to cancel my registration?

Please email kids@firstcolleyville.com with your name, child’s name and the event you are cancelling for. This will open up a space for walk in registration. 

 

What are our sanitation protocols?

Prior to arrival and after room use, all surfaces are disinfected with EPA registered, multi-purpose, neutral pH, broad-spectrum germicidal detergent designed for use in hospital, healthcare and industrial settings. While children are present, all toys that come in contact with a child’s mouth are set aside to be washed in warm soap and water.

Preschool Kids will wash hands upon entering classroom and after using the restroom. Foaming antibacterial will be applied before and after snack time.  Elementary Kids will use hand sanitizing stations upon entry and exit to their classroom. 

 

Are masks required?

All staff and volunteers will be wearing masks. We have masks available at our check in desks for those that need one.  Masks are not required, but are highly recommended for Elementary Kids (1st grade – 5th grade).

 

What do I pack in my child’s essential bag?

In an effort to maintain cleanliness, we are limiting the number of outside items present in the classrooms. This allows us to ensure the cleanliness of all classroom items for volunteer and staff safety. You may keep all bags and items with you or leave them in the car. Any essentials for care may be labeled and placed in a gallon Ziploc baggie for contact free drop off. 

If you have forgotten to pack an essential bag for your child, we will provide all necessary supplies to assemble one inside Station A at the information desk.”

What if I forgot and brought my diaper bag?

We will have an essentials station where you can label and remove all essential items that your child will need during the hour service. Please make sure everything is labeled with first and last names to prevent mix-ups. 

 

What changes to programming will occur?

At this time, we will be doing worship and story time in individual classrooms instead of gathering together as a large group. Station C (Elementary) Playscape will be closed until further notice. Your child will experience worship, a bible story, memory verse practice, application activities and games in a socially distant way. Chairs are spread out at tables and each child will have individual supplies to use. Elementary will not be serving snacks at this time.
