Sonshine Academy Director

JOB DESCRIPTION

POSITION PURPOSE

· To provide overall vision and leadership for Sonshine Academy weekday preschool and its employees

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

· Bachelor’s degree in a related field

· Passionate about their relationship with Jesus

· At least 3 to 5 years of managing and leading a large team

· At least 3 to 5 years leading a large preschool or mother’s day out program

KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Establish and lead vision for Sonshine Academy

· Recruit, hire, train, schedule and evaluate Sonshine Academy team

· Maintain safety, cleanliness and procedures as established by First Colleyville

· Supervise training and distribution of curriculum

· Manage enrollment, teacher ratios, finances and budget

· Minister to Sonshine families and help them discover First Colleyville as a church home

· Work with First Colleyville Communications Department to market Sonshine to the community

· Establish quarterly goals and meet with the Kid’s Minister quarterly and/or as needed

· Serve as part of the First Colleyville Kid’s Ministry team and cooperate with shared spaces

· Make sure Jesus is shared with kids and families as appropriate.

· Ability to multi-task with strong organizational skills

· Strong communication skills (oral and written)

· Positive attitude, people-oriented, customer service minded, team player

· Skilled in developing and maintaining a culture of excellence
