THOUGHT: God knows you, God loves you, and God is with you. He will be with you and protect you.
BIBLE: When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you; walk through fire you shall not be burned, and the flame shall not consume you. Isaiah 43:2
TRANSCRIPT: Hey, everybody! Welcome back to Morning Thrive. We’re talking about my favorite verses. The verses that have meant a lot to me over my life. This next one that I’m giving you, is a verse of comfort. The reason why it’s important to me is that many times I’ve shared this with people in the hospital, with people at the graveside, and with people who are struggling and hurting in life. Many times, I’ve come up next to them and shared this promise, it comes from Isaiah 43:1-2, “But now thus says the LORD, he who created you, O Jacob, he who formed you, O Israel: “Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name, you are mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you; when you walk through fire you shall not be burned, and the flame shall not consume you.” I love this promise because it says a couple of things; One, is that God knows me. He knows when I’m in the river. He knows when I’m in the fire. He says, “You belong to me.” It also says that God loves me. He says, ”I formed you, I created you, I know you, I love you and I care about you.” And, it says that God is with me when I go through the hard things of life. Maybe you are going through the hard things of life right now. You can trust that God knows you, God loves you, He is with you, He will carry you through it and He will bring you out on the other side. What a great promise. I hope that you will hold onto that promise today.
