Morning Thrive

Pray

July 1, 2015

THOUGHT: I’m convinced that prayer doesn’t draw God closer to you, but you closer to God. In prayer we come close to God, we pray for our needs and we ask for a fresh movement in our nation. All great spiritual renewals start right here in prayer! [I just came back from Israel, praying at the wall, fervent] We need to have that kind of fervent prayer for our families, neighbors, churches, country! Pray for protection, pray for change, pray for renewed hearts, pray for spiritual awakening.
BIBLE: If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray... -2 Chronicles 7:14

Humble Themselves

June 30, 2015

THOUGHT: Humility is an attitude that doesn’t demand your own way or think you have all the answers– humility is an attitude that puts God’s wants, his desires, his interests, his Word, his agenda above your own and acknowledges that you can’t fix this on your own. As long as it’s all about what you want, you will never see God move. But when you start to say, “God I want what you want” then you will see God begin to move in your life.
BIBLE: Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you, -1 Peter 5:6
