Event Manager / Facilities Technician

POSITION PURPOSE
The Event Manager/Facilities Technician position exists to support events on the First Colleyville campus by coordinating, communicating, and leading staff and third-party vendors to successfully achieve the goals of the event, and to assist in maintenance tasks around campus.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • At least an associate’s degree or trade school certification in related fields
  •  2+ years in facilities or building maintenance/events

JOB REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS

  • Skills in basic electrical, plumbing, HVAC
  • Ability to problem solve
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Ability to learn/use event software management

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Working all events including set-up before and tear down after
  • Moving tables and chairs from building to building depending on events.
  • Working event hours (sometimes into the evening and weekends).
  • Scheduling of HVAC and doors for usage of the campus for events.
  • Help with facility maintenance tasks which include:
    • Minor electrical
    • Minor plumbing
    • Irrigation repair
    • Building fixture repair/replacement
  • Special projects under guidance of Facilities Director and/or other facilities staff
